About

My experience has been built outside traditional institutional paths, through direct involvement in ventures across mining, technology, and consumer sectors.

I have operated as an executive, advisor, and shareholder — shaping capital deployment decisions, structuring governance, negotiating transactions, aligning stakeholders, and driving projects from inception through to implementation and overseeing operations.

I work alongside founders and leadership teams to structure, develop, and execute ventures across Europe, the Middle East, and primarily Africa.

My role is not to advise from a distance, but to engage at the core of decision-making — where capital, people, and execution intersect.

Experience

Since 2013, I have been involved in the development of ventures across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with a primary focus on East and Southern Africa.

My early exposure was within mining and natural resource projects, operating alongside investors, local partners and public authorities in environments where regulatory frameworks, stakeholder dynamics and operating conditions were often complex, fluid and at times constrained. These contexts required early assumption of responsibility, adaptability and a strong orientation toward execution.

Over time, this has extended across the full lifecycle of projects — from shaping investment opportunities and negotiating licensing frameworks, to aligning governance, coordinating stakeholders and carrying initiatives through to implementation and operations.

I have held leadership and governance roles within these ventures, including as CEO, Director and Chairman, as well as within cross-border holding structures and investment vehicles, including in the Middle East.

This experience has broadened into entrepreneurial and investment initiatives across technology, consumer and transportation sectors, involving the development of operating businesses, participation in capital allocation decisions and direct engagement in execution.

Across these environments, my work has consistently involved structuring, negotiating, aligning stakeholders and navigating situations where clarity is not given and progress depends on judgment, presence and disciplined execution.

Background & approach

My background combines a North American and European foundation with having grown up and operated extensively in East and Southern Africa. This has shaped an international perspective grounded in direct exposure to different systems, cultures and ways of operating from an early stage.

Working across regions and environments — from remote project sites to investment and governance settings in cities such as Dubai or Paris — has required the ability to adapt quickly, engage across cultures and operate with precision in multilingual contexts.

These experiences have reinforced a practical view of business: situations rarely unfold in a linear manner, and outcomes depend on the ability to understand constraints, align stakeholders and move decisions forward within real operating conditions.

I approach each engagement with a focus on clarity, alignment and execution — contributing at decision level while remaining closely involved in how situations evolve in practice. This includes navigating complexity, structuring options and supporting decision-making in environments where uncertainty, pressure and imperfect information are inherent.

My training as an Executive Coach further informs how I engage with leadership teams and individuals, supporting my ability to navigate decision processes, interpersonal dynamics and moments where clarity at leadership level becomes determinative for the direction and outcome of a project.
